Ethernet Plane Info

Function

This page shows information about switch module ports.

Table 1 Function description

Parameter

Description

Physical port

Indicates a physical port on the Ethernet plane.

Port Description

Values are as follows:

  • Panel port: indicates the port type.
  • Internal stack port: indicates the function of the port.
  • Internal port connected to the management module: indicates the function of the port.
  • slotN mezzL:M: indicates the peer device connected to the switch module downlink port. (N: indicates the compute node slot number. L indicates the subcard number. M indicates the serial number of the port.)
  • Empty: indicates that the switch module downlink port is not connected to a NIC port or the system fails to obtain NIC information (because the BMC version or NIC does not contain the information).

Speed (Mbit/s)

Indicates the speed of a physical port on the Ethernet plane. The unit is Mbit/s.

Port Status

Indicates the switch module port status. Values are Up and Down.

Unicast (In) (packets)

Indicates the number of ingress unicast packets on the port.

Discarded (In) (packets)

Indicates the number of ingress discarded packets on the port.

Errors (In) (packets)

Indicates the number of ingress error packets on the port.

Total Bytes (In) (bytes)

Indicates the total number of ingress bytes on the port.

Unicast (Out) (packets)

Indicates the number of egress unicast packets on the port.

Discarded (Out) (packets)

Indicates the number of egress discarded packets on the port.

Errors (Out) (packets)

Indicates the number of egress error packets on the port.

Total Bytes (Out) (bytes)

Indicates the total number of egress bytes on the port.
